Spring 2021 shutdown
The Suffolk energy from waste facility will be undergoing its first planned maintenance shutdown of the year between 17 April and 02 May.
Shutdowns take place twice a year for essential cleaning and maintenance, ensuring the facility continues to run efficiently.
During the shutdown, the inside of the furnaces and the boiler will be inspected and repaired, and maintenance will be carried out on the ash dischargers. The maintenance of each of our two furnaces will be staggered, so that we can continue to accept waste throughout the shutdown period.
There will be an increased number of contractors on site during this period, but there should be no impact on the local community. If you have any concerns about the upcoming shutdown period, please contact us.
