Successful shutdown at the facility

The facility successfully completed its planned major shutdown between 17 September 2021 and 11 October 2021.

Planned shutdowns are a normal part of operational life and take place twice a year to ensure the facility continues to operate efficiently.

During the shutdown, the SUEZ team were joined by 70 additional contractors from 25 companies to carry out essential cleaning and maintenance. Repairs were carried out inside the furnaces, and wear components inside the boilers were replaced. The facility has now returned to its normal 24/7 operation, with the next planned shutdown in April/May 2022.
